    instructions

    skin and dice 1 lb of potatoes

    mince 2 cloves of garlic

    bring a pot of salted water to a boil

    place the potatoes and garlic in the pot of boiling water and bring the heat down to medium-high

    cook for 15-20 minutes until tender and a fork can easily stab/mash the potatoes

    drain the potatoes and return them to the pot, mashing with a fork

    add 4-6 tbsp of butter, 1/4 cup of milk, salt and pepper to taste, and a handful of your choice of cheese (optional)

    mix until creamy, adjust ingredients as necessary
