cut octopus up into ~1/2 inch pieces
make 1 1/2 cup dashi by mixing 1 1/2 cup water and 1 1/2 teaspoon dashi powder
add 1 cup flour, 2 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 egg, 1 teaspoon soy sauce, and dashi into a bowl
whisk until blended
turn on takoyaki maker
brush each chamber with oil
pour takoyaki batter into the takoyaki maker chambers until each chamber is full
add 1-3 octopus pieces per chamber
rotate each chamber as needed until takoyaki solidifies into a ball
transfer onto a plate
